Royal County Down is one of the oldest Golf Clubs in Ireland and was founded in 1889 by the legendary Tom Morris. This championship course hugs the coastline of the Irish Sea next to the town of Newcastle and sets at the base of the Mourne Mountains. Royal County Downs is famous for its remarkable beauty and vast array of colors surrounding the course. The view from the 9th Hole is one of Golf's most brilliant landscapes.
