15th Hole "Firehorn" 500 yards, Par 5 Augusta National. This print is countersigned by Gene Sarazen, who scored a historic double eagle on this hole during the 1935 Masters. On the then 485 yard, par 5, Sarazen used only two shots. The first sailed about 250 yards: the second - which covered the remaining 235 yards, hit the green, and rolled into the cup - became known as "The Shot Heard Round The World." Sarazen went on to win the tournament, and no other golfer has ever duplicated his famous double eagle. This painting is one of five commissioned for the ABC television special "The Most Dramatic Holes in Golf," hosted by Jack Nicklaus. This image is also available in a textured canvas print.
